Dr. Charu Garg

Dr. Charu Garg is a highly experienced Radiation Oncologist with more than 28 years of expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of various cancers. She currently serves as Vice Chairman – Radiation Oncology at Max Healthcare and is known for her comprehensive approach towards advanced cancer care. Her clinical expertise spans across Breast Cancer, Thoracic Oncology, Gastrointestinal Oncology, Neuro Oncology, Head & Neck Oncology, Pediatric Oncology, Uro-Oncology, and Musculoskeletal Oncology.

Over the years, Dr. Charu Garg has played a significant role in delivering precision-based radiation therapies using modern oncology techniques. She has special interest and expertise in treating women’s cancers, particularly breast and gynecological cancers. Her advanced training includes IMRT, IGRT, SRS Brain, Extra Cranial SBRT, and Brachytherapy, enabling her to provide personalized and highly targeted treatment plans for patients with complex cancer conditions.

Before joining Max Healthcare as Senior Consultant in Radiation Oncology in 2011, Dr. Garg worked with prestigious institutions including Rajiv Gandhi Cancer and Research Institute and Medanta. She has also undergone specialized training in advanced oncology techniques in Mannheim, Germany, which further strengthened her expertise in modern radiation oncology practices and international treatment standards.

Dr. Charu Garg completed her MBBS from BJ Medical College, Ahmedabad, followed by MD in Radiation Oncology from Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute (GCRI), Ahmedabad. She is an active member of renowned medical organizations including ASTRO, Oncology Forum, Indian Society of Oncology (ISO), and Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI). Known for her compassionate patient care and evidence-based treatment approach, Dr. Garg continues to help patients from India and abroad with advanced cancer management and multidisciplinary oncology care.
